Lahoud and Syria's role in Lebanon

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud has said that Lebanon had forced Israel to withdraw out of Lebanon in May 2000 as an outcome of Lebanon's national unity and the unlimited Syrian support.
In a speech read by Lebanon's State Minister on behalf of him marking Lebanon's National Day on Sunday, Lahoud added that Syria has played a big role in attaining Lebanon's stability and political force. He stressed Lebanon's commitment to the UN resolutions to achieve the just and comprehensive peace and to restore the Arab usurped rights.
