Egyptian-Sudanese committee discusses linking Aswan, Wadi Halfa

The General Authority for Roads and Bridges is currently preparing data regarding project of the East corridor highway which will link Egyptian city of Abu Simbel and Sudanese city of Wadi Halfa to be reviewed during the meeting of Egyptian- Sudanese Committee, said Hamdy El-Shayeb, Minister of Transport.
The new road will help boost the trade movement between the two countries, particularly with using Wadi Halfa's railway line and Nile navigation in addition to utilizing the air transport through Abu Simbel Airport, added EI-Shayeb.
