Nasrullah: we will strike Israel if it attacks Lebanon or Syria

The secretary general of the Lebanese Hizbullah party Hassan Nasrullah threatened yesterday ( Friday) to attack Israel in depth if it attacks Syria or Lebanon.

In a people and official celebration that included scores of thousands on the occasion of Jerusalem Day in the southern suburb of Beirut, Nasrullah said "the Israeli air force is strong, but what is new is that any bombardment will not remain unanswered if it targets our people, our infrastructure and or brothers."

Nasrullah added it is our legitimate right to strike not only in the frontal border sites, as they do expect, rather in any depth that is reachable by our hands," noting that the hand of resistance is long and able to reach, and its answer will be beyond any expectation."

The Hizbullah secretary general accused Israel of roving the world to place Hizbullah party on the list of terrorism, noting that "this will not frighten us and push us to retreat."

He considered that the Israeli army has become disabled, noting also that Israel's occupation of the West Bank and the installation of the separation fence have not prevented the continued Palestinian resistance operations.

Nasrullah, on the other hand, held the US responsible for the attacks which targeted recently western interests in the Middle East region, stressing that hostility and hatred to the USA has been increasing.

As for the prisoners exchange file with Israel, Nasrullah threatened to resort to all possible means, including kidnapping of Israelis once again, in order to restore the prisoners if the negotiations which are currently in a new round through the German mediator fail, after Israel's announcement of excluding the longest held Lebanese prisoner Samir al-Qintar from the deal.
