Russian decree to lift sanctions imposed on Libya

Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday signed a decree for lifting all sanctions imposed on Libya.
The press office at the Kremlin said in a statement yesterday that all public agencies and industrial, trade and financial, transport companies, banks and societies and all legal bodies and persons subjected to rules of the Russian Federation should work on the ground that the sanctions imposed on Libya were lifted as from September 12, 2003.
The UN security council lifted on September 12 the UN sanctions imposed on Libya since 1988.
