Damascus, Ankara permit, once again border meeting
Syria-Turkey, Politics, 11/20/2003
Syria and Turkey agreed to the periodical border opening in Eid al-Fiter holiday as preparations were completed to receive the families from both sides, according to Turkish diplomatic sources in Damascus.
The sources stressed that "this issue was reconsidered," and according to that, "the previous decision was retracted on canceling the meeting for this year."
The families will be permitted to visit their relatives in the two Syrian and Turkish sides in order to spend one night and within 48 hours, the two last days of the holiday.
