Qrei in Gaza for truce talks with the Palestinian resistance

One Palestinian armed man was killed, and three wounded in an operation in Wadi Araba. Israeli military sources said that the occupation forces killed one armed man who is from Jordan and who hit several tourists at a crossing on the border of Jordan near the Israeli Eilat port.
The sources said that the gunman sneaked from the Jordanian side at Wadi Araba crossing, and opened fire at a group of tourists, and as a result wounded four persons at least, one of them is in a critical health condition.
The Israeli authorities blocked the crossing and all roads leading to the area, and Israeli military reinforcements reached the place and started large scale mopping up operations. News reports said that the Israeli authorities suspect that the gunman was tracing a group of Israeli tourists to open fire against them.
In another development, the Palestinian authorities arrested one police man suspected to have had killed two Israeli soldiers on Tuesday at a barrier near Bethlehem. Both, the secretary general of the People's Front For the Liberation of Palestine and al-Aqsa groups of the Palestinian national liberation movement, Fatah, claimed responsibility for the operation.
In Gaza, one Palestinian was wounded when Israeli soldiers opened fire at a barrier at the parameter of the Jewish Natsareim settlement yesterday morning. It was found out later that the man was not armored.
Earlier, the occupation forces announced that one of its soldiers was hit in an attack at Sarda barrier on Tuesday which resulted in wounding two Palestinians inside a car.
This operation coincide with the visit of the Palestinian prime minister Ahmad Qrei and the delegation of the Egyptian mediation to Gaza yesterday. The visit is in order to convince leaders of the armed Palestinian organizations to halt attacks if Israel halts its aggression against the West Bank and Gaza.
It was decided that Qrei and officials of the Egyptian intelligence to have had met yesterday with leaders of the Palestinian groups including the two Islamic resistance movement ( Hamas ) and the Islamic Jihad.
