Lahoud gets a message from Khatami
Lebanon-Iran, Politics, 11/18/2003
Lebanon's President Emile Lahoud on Monday received a message from his Iranian counterpart Muhammad Khatami on bilateral relations. The Iranian Ambassador in Beirut Massoud Idrissi Karamanshahi told reporters after handing over the message to President Lahoud that his talks with the Lebanese president centered on the situations in the occupied Palestinian lands and in Iraq.
Karamanshahi added the two sides agreed on the necessity of keeping Syrian-Lebanese-Iranian contacts under these sensitive conditions in the region.
The Iranian Ambassador said he briefed President Lahud on the latest developments of the Iranian nuclear file and his country's stance vis-a-vis the issue of kidnapped Iranian diplomats, stressing that Israel is responsible for their kidnapping.
