Sharon to meet with Qrei soon
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 11/14/2003

Israel has announced that its prime minister Ariel Sharon will be meeting with his Palestinian counterpart Ahmad Qrei within the ten coming days. This came after the assertion made yesterday by Qrei on his readiness to meet with Sharon and his intention to start serious dialogue with Palestinian fighting groups to ensure reciprocated cease fire between the two sides.

The Israeli foreign minister Shalom Silvan said that Tel Aviv will consider Qrei government as a real partner for Qrei' government shows determination to act against the armed groups such as Hamas.

Earlier Zalman Shoufa, Sharon's advisor announced Israel's readiness to abstain from military attacks in the occupied Palestinian territories to allow Qrei to enhance his authority, but he simultaneously threatened to challenge the Palestinian resistance groups if they exploit what he called the "Israeli truce." This Israeli announcement coincided with the first meeting held by the new Palestinian government chaired by Ahmad Qrei in Ramallah.

News reports in Ramallah said that the meeting was procedural and discussed each minister's mission and assertion of the political statement and set program.
