The seperation wall annexes 250 hectares, Israeli forces expel Palestinians from West Bank to Gaza

The occupation forces yesterday started building a new part of the separation wall near Ramallah where it will annex some 250 hectares of Palestinian lands, while the Israeli army expelled during the past 24 hours Palestinians from the West Bank to Gaza.

News reports in the Palestinian territories said that works to build a new part of the wall to the south of al-Kanah settlement to the west of Ramallah where three bulldozers escorted by Israeli soldiers started land leveling near the Palestinian Ranteis town, 30 Km to the west of Ramallah. The new part of the wall is 7.4 Kilometers length, inclines southward to al-Medya village, and runs along the the so-called green line, and incurs into the Palestinian territories for a distance of two kilometers and several hundreds of meters.

On the other hand, one thousand persons demonstrated yesterday including Israeli and foreign peace advocates in the West Bank in protest of building the wall. The demonstration runs in Baqa al-Sharqeya city which was isolated by the wall from Toulkarem city and other towns of the West Bank. A small group of the demonstrators tried to cross a gate in the wall, but the occupation forces dispersed them with tear gas. The demonstration was organized in the course of the one week dedicated against the wall.

Meantime, a Palestinian source said that Israel expelled one Palestinian detainee from the West Bank to Gaza in a third measure of its kind since Monday. The source explained that a patrol from the Israeli army expelled Taha Dweik from al-Khalil, near Natsareim, from which he was moved to Gaza. The Supreme Israeli court on Wednesday permitted Dweikto to be placed under ( home arrest ) in Gaza after he was under administrative detention without trial. The occupation forces expelled Ashraf Muhammad Abdour yesterday at dawn to Gaza.

Meantime, Palestinian security sources said that the Israeli army demolished yesterday morning a house and caused damages in other 6 houses during an incursion operation in Khan Younis to the south of Gaza. One Israeli army unit backed by helicopters and tanks incurred into Khan Younis where it cordoned a house and asked its citizen via loudspeakers to evacuate it. The Israeli soldiers withdrew from the area after that.

Palestinian security sources said that the Israeli forces incurred with some 40 jeep cars and armored vehicles on Wednesday into Toulkarem city and the neighboring refugees camp.
