al-Rai al-Aam: Maher, Kharrazi statements on Damascus meeting of Iraqi neighboring FMs

Egyptian Foreign Minister, Ahmed Maher stressed that the final statement of the Iraq's neighboring states' foreign ministers meeting was an expression of the Iraqis' desire to achieve their aspirations.

It also underlined that the neighboring states are working for realizing Iraq's stability and territorial integrity.

In a statement to Kuwaiti al-Rai al-Aam newspaper issued in Kuwait yesterday, Maher underlined the importance of the neighbor countries' help to restore Iraq's sovereignty and to ensure the Iraqis right to self- determination.

In a statement to the same newspaper, Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi stressed that the Foreign Ministers asserted the necessity for establishing a unified Iraq and forming a legitimate government to represent the Iraqi people.
