Talibani calls on neighboring states to close borders
The chairman of the Interim Governing Council in Iraq for December, Jalal al-Talibani, has called on Iraq's neighboring states to "close their borders and prevent terrorists from entering Iraq," while speculating that there is a link between the deputy chairman of the Iraqi Revolution Leadership Council in the former regime Ezzat Ibrahim al-Douri and the attacks against the American occupation.

16 American soldiers killed in downed helicopter in Baghdad
In what was described the "bloodiest days" for the American forces in Iraq, one US helicopter was downed in Baghdad's suburbs and the incident resulted in killing 16 soldiers and wounding other 20.

US official in Saudi Arabia to supervise entry visas
Asa Hutchinson, US Under Secretary of Border & Transportation Security for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will head for Saudi Arabia within days to supervise special amendments on offering entry visas to the USA in order to prevent the entry of "extremists."

British Airways introduces more non-stop flights to marrakech and agadir
