Expatriate minister confers with Danish parliamentary delegation
Syria-Denmark, Politics, 11/3/2003

Syria's Expatriates Minister, Butheina Shaaban on Saturday asserted Syria's continuous efforts for realizing just and comprehensive peace in the region in accordance with the international resolutions, "Madrid terms of reference" and "land for peace" formula.

Receiving a delegation of the Foreign Policy Committee in the Danish Parliament chaired by Gens Held Medcin, Shaaban spoke of "the dangerous situation in the region due to Israel's brutal practices against the Palestinians violating all international laws and charters as well as the provocative threats against Syria and Lebanon."

Shaaban stressed the necessity for regaining Iraq' sovereignty and maintaining its territorial integrity.

For its part, the Danish delegation expressed appreciation over Syria's efforts exerted for realizing peace and stability in the region and for deepening language of the constructive dialogue in international relations.
