Al-Shara confers with Iraqi figures

Syria's Foreign Minister Farouk al-Shara received in Damascus on Monday a delegation representing the Iraqi National Conference Bloc, headed by al-Sharif Ali Bin al-Hussein on the latest developments in Iraq.

Points of views were similar regarding ending the occupation and the formation of the Iraqi government that satisfies the Iraqi people's aspirations as well as maintaining Iraqi unity.

Al-Shara expressed Syria's support to the Iraqi people until restoring their independence and the formation of their government.

Later, al-Shara received an Iraqi delegation representing the Central Council of the Iraqi Tribal Sheikhs, headed by Ali Ibrahim al-Fares ad-Dleemi.

The two sides stressed the necessity for ending the occupation, maintaining the Iraqi unity and integrity and enabling the Iraqi people of practice their selves-determination.
