Iraqi refugees in Saudi Arabia return back to Iraq one shift every week

A new shift of 651 Iraqi refugees returned back to the governorate of al-Basra via Kuwait yesterday coming back from Saudi Arabia where they had spent 12 years in Rafhaa camp in the heart of the desert.
The spokesman for the UNHCR Biraq al-Tamimi said "it was decided that every Tuesday a week, new shifts of Iraqi refugees would arrive," noting that so far the number of Iraqi refugees left in Saudi Arabia accounts at 2600 out of 5333 in Rafhaa camp since the return back of the first shift by the end of July this year.
Upon its foundation in 1991, the camp included 33,000 persons but 25,000 of them traveled throughout the years to Europe, the USA and Australia.
