Syrian- Spanish relations highlighted

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and Spain's King Juan Carlos held today a meeting at al-Shaab Palace. Talks dealt with the bilateral relations between Syria and Spain and the general situation in the region.
The two sides singed an Executive Protocol on a Tourist Agreement and an Agreement on Encouraging and Protecting Mutual Investment.
The two agreements were signed on the Syrian side by Minister of Economy and Commerce Ghassan Rifaee and Minister of Tourism Saadallah Agha al-Qalaa and on the Spanish side by Minister of State for Foreign Trade Francesco Otrella and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ana Maria Palacio.
Earlier, President Bashar al-Assad and First Lady Asmaa al-Assad received King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia upon their arrival to al-Shaab Palace.
