Arab-American Conference Draws Eight Presidential Candidates
Regional-USA, Politics, 10/18/2003

Eight Democratic presidential hopefuls and key Democratic and Republican Party officials are scheduled to speak at the Arab American Institute's National Leadership Conference in Dearborn, Michigan October 17-19.

The conference, entitled "Vote 2004: An Agenda for Peace and Justice," will examine ways of mobilizing Arab-American voters and strategies to bring Arab-American concerns to the fore in the November 2004 elections.

The conference will address numerous foreign and domestic issues relevant to Arab-American voters. Specific topics on the agenda range from the U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East to civil liberties in the United States. Several hundred Arab-American community leaders from across the United States are expected to attend.

The AAI also had released the Voter Guide to the 2004 Democratic Presidential Candidates
