Belgian senators hail Moroccan family law reforms

Several Belgian senators hailed in Brussels Wednesday the reform of the family law (Mudawana) announced last Friday by King Mohammed VI, as a strong impetus to the ongoing democratic process in Morocco.
Some members of the Belgian senate's external relations and defense committee welcomed the reforms as a significant breakthrough after Morocco's ambassador to Belgium, Mustapha Salahdine, briefed the committee on the reforms and surveyed the evolution of the personal statute code since independence.
