Suicide bombing strikes Turkish embassy in Baghdad

Turkey has stressed its is not reconsidering a decision to send forces to Iraq, following a suicide operation in a booby trapped car that targeted yesterday its embassy in Baghdad, and resulted in killing its executor and wounding of more than 10 persons.
Witnesses said that a car approached yesterday the headquarters of the Turkish embassy in Baghdad and blew up suddenly. American officials said that a security barrier has absorbed the effects of the explosion and prevented further damages in the embassy.
The Turkish ambassador in Baghdad Othman Baksot told the Turkish TV NTV that three embassy employees were slightly wounded. He added "that all windows were broken with cracks in the building.
Witnesses said that one was killed and several others were injured and are treated at al-Kindi hospital in Baghdad.
The operation came amid an Iraqi, Arab, and official rejection of Ankara's military plans to send troops to Iraq.
