Lebanon-Regional, Politics, 10/15/2003

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud has stressed that the only way to stop the deterioration of the Middle East situation is by implementing the UN resolutions which aim at achieving peace in the region.

During his meeting with the new Russian Envoy to the Middle East Alexander Kalojin today, Lahoud called on the Russian Union to play a wider and active role with the cooperation of European Union and other countries in order to revive peace process. He urged the US to answer the sincere calls in the world to avoid the "imminent disaster."
