Solana calls on Arab states to revitalize Arab peace initiative

Higher Representative of the European Security and Foreign Policy, Javier Solana has called the Arab states to reactivate the Arab Peace Initiative in the Middle East stressing the importance of maintaining regional stability and security.
In a statement yesterday in Brussels in front of the European Parliament, Solana asserted the necessity to reactivate the Arab Initiative which is still supported by the international Quartet Committee. Solana called on Israel to respect the international law and to bear responsibility towards achieving peace.
