European MP calls for 'more than partnership' in Morocco-EU ties

European parliament deputy and former president of the European commission, Jacques Santer, called Tuesday "for more than partnership" between Morocco and the Union.
Speaking at a meeting with speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (parliament lower chamber) Abdelouahed Radi, the European MP lauded Morocco's reforms to upgrade its economy's competitiveness and get ready for the free trade agreement to be enforced with the EU by 2010.
