Syrian president gets a message from Annan

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad received on Monday a telephone call from the UN Secretary General Kofi Anan. Anan expressed high appreciation over Syria's "wise stance regarding the Israeli aggression on the Syrian lands" stressing that the UN will exert all efforts to prevent the repetition of such aggression against its member states.
President Assad thanked Anan over his stance and solidarity with Syria.
