Bashir expects peace agreement by end of year
The Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir said yesterday in Doha that some 90% of pending problems in the peace negotiations between the Sudanese government and the souther rebels were solved, thanks to the recent agreement between the two sides. He expressed his hope to reach peace in Sudan by the fall of the current year.

Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak will visit the United Arab Emirates today Monday for talks with President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the UAE News Agency (WAM) reported. Go

Saudi Arabia's deputy minister of defense and aviation prince Khaled Bin Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz said that the kingdom will not send forces to Iraq even if a decision is issued by the UN security council to this effect. Go
