A new Russian envoy to the Middle East

Russia has announced appointing Alexander Kalojin, a specialist diplomat in the Arab affairs as a new envoy for Russia in the Middle East.
A statement issued by the Russian foreign ministry said that the Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov appointed Kalojin as a new envoy designated to continue contacts in the region. The statement noted that Kalojin's predecessor was appointed to another diplomatic post.
