Morocco's El Guerrouj wins men's 1,500 at Moscow meet

Moroccan athlete, Hicham El Guerrouj, won on Saturday the 1,500 m race at Moscow's athletics challenge, worth US$ 2.4 million.
Four-time world champion in men's 1,500 m, El Guerrouj, who was made best athlete for the third year in a row, run the distance in 3:36.44, ahead of Kenya's Paul Korir (3:36.48) and Alex Kipchir (3:38.43).
El Guerrouj, who said every new victory gives motivation to move forward in other challenges, announced he will take a break before getting ready for Athens Olympic games of 2004, the only title still lacking in his rich record.
In women's 800 m, Morocco's Mina Ait Hammou, came in second with a 1:59.39 timing, after Mozambique's Maria De Lourde Mutola who won the race with a 1:58.82 timing.
