Pan Arab condemnation of American threats against Syria

The Arab media on Friday continued condemnation of the US accusations against Syria and the so-called Syria Accountability Act which is currently being discussed in the US. Congress
In Cairo, al-Jomhouria ( the republic ) in its editorial condemned the US accusations pointing out that these accusations express the US unjust stance towards issues of the Middle East while it ignores the Israeli brutal practices and its nuclear, chemical and biological arsenal which is the source of the real threat in the region.
In Beirut, Lebanese paper, al-Sharq, inquired about the US aggressive policy towards Arabs, particularly Syria and about the legitimate document which allows the US Congress to interfere in Lebanon's interior affairs under the pretext of Syria's accountability act.
Lebanese Parties, national forces and members of parliament strongly condemned the US accusations and the so-called Syria's accountability act.
They hailed the distinguished relations between Syria and Lebanon stressing the two countries tracks concomitance.
In Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates al-Khaleej and al-Bayan dailies have condemned the American accusations against Syria.
In its editorial, al-Khaleej daily stressed that the reasons and aims for these accusations are to divert the world sight from the American crisis in Iraq.
For its part, al-Bayan daily stressed that the Arabs suffer from the American double standard policy which serves the Israeli interests only.
The daily added that in the light of this duplicity, Syria is exposed to the American political accusations while Israel doesn't subjugated to any accountability act and enjoys international immunity represented by the American Veto in addition to another immunity regarding its nuclear arsenal and weapons of mass destruction.
