Keftaro confers with American delegation on dialogue

Syria's Grand Mufti, Sheikh Ahmad Keftaro, received in Damascus an American delegation headed by Pastor, David Ramaj from California.

During the meeting, Keftaro stressed the importance of the dialogue and of exerting efforts in the fields of development and reform in order to achieve the just peace based on noble values and respect.

He stressed the importance of the implementation of the UN resolutions and the insurance of the Palestinian people's rights to liberate and establish his independent state.

For his part, Ramaj asserted his opposition to the aggression and the occupation in Palestine and Iraq stressing that his visit aims at exchanging knowledge and coordinating efforts to boost the principles of justice and humanity.

He called on the American President George W. Bush to work in order to realize peace which is based on love, fraternity and understanding instead of adopting the policy of wars and hegemony.
