Lebanese official deplores the US Accountability Act against Syria

Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee at Lebanese Parliament Ali Khalil has condemned the so-called Syria Accountability Act being discussed at the US Congress.
In a statement he made yesterday in Beirut, Khalil stressed that this project aims at distorting the reality of the national role and the project which Syria is carrying out in Lebanon in order to "preserve its stability and security and to support it facing the Zionist conspiracies."
He underlined that the Syrian-Lebanese relations don't serve only the two states' interests but the Arab interest asserting that "the project of Syria's accountability act is a Zionist one and serves only the Zionists' interests."
