Israel kills one Palestinian killed, demolishes houses in Jerusalem, Rafah

A local official of the Islamic Jihad movement in Doura town near Hebron was killed during an incursion operation carried out by the Israeli occupation forces which detained nine Palestinians in the West Bank and demolished three buildings in Jerusalem and two houses in Doura and Rafah.

An Israeli military source said that "a special unit from the army cordoned a house in Doura village where it intended to arrest Palestinian activists and killed one of them." But witnesses stressed that the activist Majed Abu Doush ( 20 year old) is known of being the local leader of the Islamic Jihad Movement. They added that bulldozers demolished the house to which Abu Doush had resorted.

A military spokesman said that the Israeli army detained nine Palestinians yesterday in the West Bank including Fahdi Walid Ibrahim Abu al-Huda ( 17 year old) who is accused by Israel of planning for a suicide operation.

On the other hand, the Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished yesterday three residential buildings in Jerusalem under the pretext of being constructed without a license. Thereby, the number of buildings demolished by the occupation authorities since the beginning of this year increased to 103 inside the borders of Jerusalem municipality.

On the other hand, the chairman of the Palestinian Authority Yasser Arafat received yesterday in Ramulah the Israeli Rabbi Moshe Hersh, leader of "Natouri Karta" movement who, during the meeting denounced Israel's decision to expel Arafat and stressed his movement's support for the Palestinian President.
