UNDP praises Mrs. Mubarak's efforts in women's status promotion

United Nations Development Program (UNDP) resident representative in Egypt, Antonio Vigilante praised the persistent efforts by Egypt's First Lady Suzanne Mubarak, the chairperson of the National Council for Women (NCW), for promoting the status of the Egyptian women and encouraging their participation in public life.
Vigilante and NCW Secretary-General Farkhunda Hassan yesterday discussed cooperation between the UNDP and the NCW and reviewed the cooperation protocol for activating women's participation in politics.
