Egypt - France to beef up economic, trade cooperation

French Minister Delegate for Industry, Nicole Fontaine, underlined the deep, strong ties between Egypt and France that started even before digging the Suez Canal.
The Minister, who is due in Cairo heading a French delegation of French businessmen late this month, said the two countries were keen on beefing up economic and trade cooperation.
Fontaine highlighted trade exchange between Egypt and France which hit 1.3 billion euros, due to up this year. Egyptian exports to France increased by 8,3 % this year, she added.
