Uganda accuses Sudan of supporting north's rebels
Sudan-Uganda, Politics, 9/13/2003
Uganda has for the first time accused Sudan of resuming support for the north's rebels in a violation to the border cooperation agreement, but added it will hold talks with Khartoum next week to settle this issue.
Col. Noble Mayombo, the chairman of the Ugandan military intelligence told journalists "our information says that the rebels formed new camps near the lines of the Sudanese army and beyond them," in remarks to the Jeish al-Rabb group ( God's army) for resistance.
He added "we did not get this information from them (the Sudanese authorities). Should there be an exchange of information, al-Rabb army for resistance would have be defeated by now."
