Pakistan: Israeli - Indian relations a great threat

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on Thursday said Israel's visit to India is as "extremely" threatening to Pakistan's interest and "if they are trying to unite to create an anti-Muslim military alliance, it is the saddest day in the history of the world, he told BBC Reddiff.com reported.

The BBC reported wednesday: "Foreign Minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri called the strengthening military ties "most unfortunate...India and Israel are trying to change the strategic balance in the region by pouring in a wide range of sophisticated weapons and strategic defence system," he told reporters in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, where he was holding talks."

While some see Israel and the US as playing a strategic game related to cornering Pakistan in terms of its nuclear capabilities, it is not clear if Pakistan will counteract the Israeli - US political, military and economic policies by passing its nuclear capabilities to Iran or the Arab states, which are seen as the real targets behind these maneuvers.
