Arab parliamentarians agree on creation of Arab Parliament

The joint Arab parliamentarian meetings of the political and justice committees were concluded in Khartoum yesterday. The participants agreed on the establishment of an Arab Parliament.

They stressed the importance of the positive aspects relating to the establishment of the Arab Parliament and its active role in the legislation, supervision, and consultation in the Arab states.

It is noteworthy to say that a second meeting is scheduled to be held next November to look into the project by the General Secretariat in order to be finally approved during the forthcoming session of the Arab parliamentary union, which is scheduled to be held in Damascus next February.
