Arab foreign ministers final statement

Arab Foreign Ministers have stressed the necessity for maintaining the unity of the Palestinians in facing the current challenges.

At closing session of their meetings in Cairo today, the Arab Foreign Ministers held Israel responsible for the deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories due to the Israeli brutal practices against the Palestinians.

The ministers asserted "the Arab identity of Jerusalem and that any Israeli attempt to Judaize it is an illegitimate action."

The ministers stressed support to Syria's demand of restoring all the occupied Golan Heights until the line 4th of June 1967 based on the peace process and the international resolutions. The ministers stressed that the continuation of the Israeli occupation of the Golan Heights constitutes a threat to the regional and world peace and security.

The council stressed commitment to the international resolutions regarding the Israeli settlement activities "which are considered as illegal and a dangerous violation of Geneva conventions."

The Ministers stressed support to Lebanon's demand for restoring the remaining occupied lands particularly Shaba' Farms according to UN Security Council resolution No. 425 and for releasing all the Lebanese detainees in the Israeli prisons asserting Lebanon legitimate right to resist the occupation by any available means.

Regarding the dangers of the Israeli nuclear weapon and its weapons of mass destructions on the pan-Arab security, the council called the international community for moving effectively and quickly to face the dangers of the Israeli Demona nuclear reactor.

The council stressed the Arab firm stance in combating terrorism and the necessity for drawing a distinction between terrorism and the peoples legitimate right to resist occupation rejecting accusations of linking Islam and Muslims with terrorists.
