Turkish military delegation in Syria

A Turkish military delegation will pay a visit to Syria within the framework of the executive program for the military agreement between the two countries which was finalized in 2002.

Well-informed Turkish sources said that the delegation which is composed of high ranking army officers representing the leadership of the naval forces will visit the city of Lattakia to be acquainted with its naval academy and discuss matters relating to military training between the Syrian and Turkish armies.

In a similar context the "al-Assad" ship specialized for military training will head for Istanbul port to take part in a program agreed upon by the two sides when they signed a military cooperation agreement.
