Two Libyans try to attack al-Faisal in Cairo
Libya-Saudi Arabia, Politics, 9/9/2003

The Egyptian police yesterday detained two Libyan businessmen after they had insulted Saudi Arabia's foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal yesterday at the lobby of Four Seasons hotel and tried to attack him.

A police source said that the two Libyans who stay at the hotel, situated to the west of Cairo, approached al-Faisal while about to leave the hotel to attend the meetings of the Arab foreign ministers. The source added that the companions of the minister prevented the two men 35 and 32 year old from approaching al-Faisal and then handed them over to the Egyptian police which detained them.

The source said that the two men were intending to reply the criticism addressed by the Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah in the recent Arab summit in Sharm Esh Sheikh against Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi.
