Kharazi in Damascus today

Sources of the Iranian embassy in Damascus said yesterday that the Iranian foreign minister Kamal Kharazi will pay today a visit to Damascus, carrying a message from the Iranian President Muhammad Khatami to his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.
The sources added that Kharazi will discuss with President al-Assad "coordinating the two countries stances on the issues of Iraq and Palestine." This is, however, months following Kharazi's last visit to Damascus. From Damascus Kharazi will head for Sofia.
