Sheikh Hamad and Khatami exchange views on Iraq and Palestine

Iranian President, Mohammed Khatami and Amir of Qatar, Shaikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani reviewed the latest developments in the region particularly the situation in Iraq and in occupied Palestine.
During a phone call on Friday with Shaikh Hamad, Khatami "condemned the ugly crimes perpetrated by Israel against the Palestinian people."
He expressed the hope that the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) forthcoming meeting will adopt firm stances to participate in finding a solution to the Palestinian cause.
Regarding Iraq, Shaikh Hamad expressed the hope for forming an Iraqi government representing all the Iraqi people classes and works for realizing security and stability in Iraq.
