Israel: Saudi Arabia threatens Eilat

Israel has asked the US to pressure Saudi Arabia in order "withdraw scores of F-16 jet fighters positioned in Tabouck base near Eilat, to the south of Israel, according to the Israeli radio yesterday.
The source said that during the signing of the contract for selling these American planes to Saudi Arabia, Riyadh vowed not to deploy them near Israel in Tabouck base, but he stressed that during the war against Iraq the Saudis transported F-16 planes to Tabouck to protect them against likely Iraqi attacks.
