Expatriates remittances rise by 2.4% by end of july, 2003

Remittances of Moroccan expatriates reached 18.8 billion dirhams (nearly 1.8 billion dollars) by end of July 2003, in comparison with 18.4 billion dirhams last year, i.e. a 2.4% rise, according to the exchange office's latest figures
Expatriates' remittances scored a 36.5% increase as compared to the average figures of the same period of the years 1998/2002, which amount to 13.8 billion dirhams (some $1.4 billion).
