King Mohammed receives governor of diwan al Madalim
Morocco, Politics, 9/3/2003

Morocco's King Mohammed VI received on Tuesday Moulay Slimane Alaoui, governor of Diwan al Madhalim, an independent body set up by Morocco in 2002 to study complaints from citizens on administration works.

The official handed the king a detailed report on the institution's internal Regulations project and on means to make it efficiently deal with complaints submitted to it.

The king approved a package of recommendations and proposals presented by Alaoui.

King Mohammed VI stressed the need to endow Diwan Al-Madhalim with necessary human resources and functional mechanisms to enable it carry out its mission.

The king urged Alaoui to see to the strict implementation of the new concept of authority, based on local rule, the duty of equity and the intransigent respect of the law.

The King issued instructions to appoint representatives of Diwan Al Madhalim in major ministerial departments to follow up the implementation of actions and measures decided at central levels.
