Investigation finds no clue of criminal cause of blast in terrorism suspect house

The police said it has found no clue that the minor blast that occurred in the house of Mohamed El Omari, a suspected terrorist, in Casablanca was caused by a criminal hand.

A small blast rocked on Sunday night the house where the man, who is standing trial for involvement in May 16 spate of terrorist operations in Casablanca, was living. The house had also served as a site for making the bombs used by the terrorists.

The police concluded that the blast was not intentional since it did not find any trace of explosive devices.

According to experts, the explosion that occurred in the sewage system was caused by small residuals of TATP that were evacuated by the sewage and that dried up as the house was uninhabited for 3 months.

The blast did not claim any victims.
