Morocco freezes activities of authority agents whose relatives are running for polls

The interior ministry decided to freeze the activities of authority agents who have relatives running for local polls that Morocco will hold on September 12.
This preventive measure aims to preserve the neutrality of the administration and secure conditions of transparency and honesty in local elections.
Some authority agents will be appointed in other positions in urban and rural councils until the announcement of the elections' results.
As at last August 29, 144 of these civil servants were effected by this measure.
