Mubarak settled case of 'Sour el-Dir'
Egypt, Religion, 9/1/2003
Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria and the Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese lauded President Hosni Mubarak's concern and his personal follow up over the crisis of Amba Antonios Monastery.
"Mubarak, through his usual wisdom and farsightedness, was able to settle the dispute," asserted Pope Shenouda, noting that the committee, which he decided to form to discuss the crisis, has already started its mission to seek a final solution to this matter.
Meanwhile, Pope Shenouda expressed his heart-felt happiness that Ibrahim Nafie, Al Ahram Board Chairman and Editor- in-Chief has undergone a successful operation in Austria and returned home safely.
