Emirati company to set up 3 hotels in Marrakesh

The Moroccan government and the Emirati Tourism Group Al Ghantoute signed in Rabat Tuesday an agreement on the set up of 3 hotels in the southern city of Marrakesh worth an overall 22 million dollars.

The first, worth some 8 million dollars, will have a 30 suites and rooms capacity, the second, a 5 star, will cost some 10 million dollars and the third will cost 40 million dollars, with a 30 room capacity.

The agreement was signed, on the Moroccan side by minister of finance and privatization, Fathallah Oulaalou, minister in charge of public sectors modernization, Najib Zerouali, tourism minister, Adil Douiri, and delegated minister charged of economic and general affairs and economy upgrade, Abderrazak Mossadeq. It was signed, on the Emirati side, by chairman of the Ghantoute administrative board, Saiid Manii Outeiba, and adviser to president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The signing ceremony was chaired by Moroccan prime minister, Driss Jettou, who lauded bilateral ties between the two countries and underlined the positive outcome the agreement will have on Moroccan tourism.

Outeiba, on his part, praised the ever-developing cooperation between the two countries' private sectors, saying Morocco is able to draw more investments, especially in tourism.
