King Mohammed lays foundation stone of sea resort in Asilah

Morocco's King Mohammed VI on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a sailing port in Asilah, dubbed "Marina Asilah."
The king heard explanations on the project that will include a basin which will accommodate some 500 boats, a mall, an emergency health center, two hotels, a theater, a yacht club and fishery activities facilities.
The port, to be built by Italian company SOIPA in partnership with Italian and American investors, is considered one of the largest Italian private investment projects.
Construction works of the project, which will cost nearly 550 million DHs (US $55 million), will start next February and will take 36 months.
In the construction phase, the project will generate some 500 jobs and 700 others after completion.
