Kuwaiti FM holds talks with al-Shara
Kuwait-Syria, Politics, 8/27/2003

Kuwait's foreign minister, Sheikh Muhammad Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah has reiterated Kuwaiti support to Syria in the international forums and her call for Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Arab territories including Golan and South of Lebanon.

In a statement yesterday in Kuwait, he pointed out that the Kuwaiti stance reflects the decisions of the Arab summits particularly the latest Arab peace initiative.

He underlined that the Syrian and Kuwaiti viewpoints are identical concerning the negative repercussions of the state of instability in Iraq on the neighboring countries including Syria and Kuwait.

He called on the Arab states to help the Iraqi people during this stage in order to be able to form a national government and restore the country's security and stability.

He asserted that the Israeli Prime Minister's current policy doesn't support a peaceful solution.
