Al-Wifaq: Deeply rooted Syrian - Iranian relations

Syria's Ambassador to Iran, Hamed Hassan, has stressed the deep-rooted Syrian-Iranian relations based on understanding and coordination between the two countries for realizing security and stability in the region.
In an interview on Saturday with Iranian newspaper, Al-Wifaq, he pointed out that Syria's stance regarding the transitional governing council in Iraq depends on the measures which will be adopted by the council regarding insurance of Iraq's unity and territorial integrity, boosting the national unity and ending the US occupation of the Iraqi territories as soon as possible.
