Arab economists, analysts meet in Alexandria for economic integration talks

Egpt's Prime Minister, Atef Ebeid, opens on Monday the General Conference of the Arab Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Alexandria under the auspices of President Hosni Mubarak.

Arab Economic Integration has become top priority on the joint Arab action and the call of President Hosni Mubarak to set up the Arab common market to face the challenges on the international arena.

Arab Union of Chambers of Commerce, therefore, called for an extraordinary meeting in Alexandria to beef up the efforts to realize that long-awaited objective.

Ebeid will open the conference and hold an open talk session with the participants. Ministers of the economic group in Egypt as well as economic experts and analysts from all Arab states will participate in the meetings.

Chairman of the Arab Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, Khalid Abu Ismail, said the upcoming meetings would witness floating of three working papers on Arab economic integration.
